Black and White Minimalist Apartment Interior Design by Jovo Bozhinovski

This apartment is covers an area for about 110 square meters. The apartment which the interior design has renovated completely by Bulgarian designer Jovo Bozhinovski has a cool and minimalist atmosphere without a warm color and materials. It was the desires of the client as the owner of the dwelling to order the designer for achieve it. For this achievement, the designer uses the finest and selected materials like fiberglass, lacquered MDF, technical stone, the glass and metal. In the first floor of the apartment is placed the kitchen, dining table and the sitting area, while in the second floor of the apartment is found the two bedrooms and a bathroom.

In this apartment, the staircase is being the important element in the design of the dwelling, so the designer of this apartment built a tall black fiberglass wall panel which is centrally placed in a vertical unit serving that not only rail, but also for the lighting on the stairs. The feeling of the glowing arch is achieved by reflect the wall surface. A glass for the safety of the staircase is found on the second floor to this central element. Inside this both floor of the apartment house is stand the TV, the lamp above the sofa, dining table, kitchen, railing of the stair and the furniture of the bedrooms. All of this is specially designed by the designer for this beautiful home. That is the evidence of the designer who trying to create the unique and incomparable atmosphere for this apartment.

Shah’s Residence by Sunil Patil and Associates In India

Sunil Patil and Associates has designed a home from industrialist couple with a flair for painting in Solapur India. This residence is home, gallery, and studio rolled into one. Their love for art led to the realisation of the core element of this house, The Wall. The concept of this residence is consisting of wall which divide this house into two zones. The common zone are living room, dining and kitchen. then, the private zone are the master bedroom and the guest bedroom. Interconnection between the two zones is achieved by well-designed openings in the wall.

The wall, a panel for the display of their paintings, is illuminated throughout the day by sunlight pouring in through a skylight placed above it. the guest bedroom can be converted into studio by using innovative furniture design. The front and side setbacks have been utilised to enhance internal spaces by introducing landscape greens.

the traditional PAR (an Indian traditional platform created around a banyan tree for informal seating),makes perfect backdrop for living area, dining area and bar, inspired to place small tree on podium with a skylight directly above. The house is energy efficient and eco-friendly by use of natural resources, because it uses artificial lighting during the day. The use of large openings, providing natural ventilation, led to minimised use of air conditioning. The wall is treated with tandoor stone makes great texture and perfect background for the paintings. Other elements have been treated with different materials, all in white.Innovative use of glass & laminate creates a new material for the kitchen dado. The bar counter & the dining table are designed with in-built lighting. The water bodies outside the dinning & studio are lit with LED lighting.

Dorsey House Design by Coates Design in United States

Located in Bainbridge Island, Washington much of the Dorsey House is hidden behind a two-story concrete face, however its interior spaces reflect a different experience of warmth, light, and openness. Architects Coates Design created an 18-inch concrete wall that forms two sides of the home’s exterior. These walls provide a poignant counterpoint to the warm wooden and copper box that rests at a slight angle to take full advantage of the site’s water and mountain views. The concrete exterior wall and exposed concrete within the home reduce energy costs by serving as a thermal mass that naturally cools the home in the summer and holds warmth in the winter.

Each room within the home was carefully designed to take advantage of views, provide comfort to the occupants, and an appealing style. With only a small buildable area available on the site, the home was designed to maximize the footprint through the use of vertical space which also takes advantage of the spectacular views of Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains to the West. The close proximity to the street is softened by native landscaping and a stone gabion retaining wall. The back facade of the home has an abundance of windows, which illuminate the interior livable space, maximizing the spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains and the water. The main living opens out onto a large deck that cantilevers from the home’s structure, providing a seamless connection from inside to out.

The kitchen offers a beautifully crafted bar designed with caramelized bamboo, gloss laminate, and a three-way mitre corner. Visually hidden in custom built cabinetry in the pantry next to the kitchen are the refrigerator, washer and dryer, and wine cooler which save space and provide a clutter-free kitchen.

The interior of the home is well-lit, with clear glazing making up nearly all of its view to the backyard and Puget Sound. The stairs, lit by a large skylight above, are made of customized blackened steel and the wood was milled from a tree previously located on the property.
